Automatically Insert Delta Symbol for Reporting % Change
When reporting % change in email, excel, powerpoint or word, it is possible to make it easy to insert the delta symbol to indicate change (i.e. YoY % ?, or 33% ?, or 33% ? YoY).
In Outlook, navigate to File -> Options -> Mail -> Spelling and Autocorrect
Click AutoCorrect Options
Then, under Replace text as you type:
– Enter what text you would like to be automatically replaced with the symbol. I used: (delta)
– Copy and paste the delta symbol into the “With” column: ?
Click OK and it should be set for all Office programs. Test it in one of these programs by typing (delta) or what you chose to be replaced, and the symbol should automatically appear.
